Mogili is a small village located at a distance of 25 km from chittoor in Bangarupalem mandalam. This village was famous for holy temple Lord Shiva popularly called as “MogiliEswaraSwamy”. This temple was situated nearly at a distance of 95 km from national high of Bangalore and Tirupati. This temple was popularized as “Dakshana Kilasam” .
The tower of temple was very attractive and which was constructed by the great famous sculptures and they worked a lot to make the excellent architectural style. Another attraction related to this temple was a pond situated on the inner side of the temple will contains the water even though on the summer region and the water in this pond will came from the Nandhi statue’s mouth which was next to the pond. On the south to this temple a big hill which was formed with a big stone which was in 3 miles in diameter and more than a 100 feet height.
The main deity of the temple was Lord Shiva was first found by Mogilliappa who was a former and he later placed the Lord Shiva under a Mogili tree and then started prayer and worshiped God and this is the reason why this temple got the name of “MogiliEswara Temple.
At present this temple was maintained by Bangaru Palem Zamindar’s family . Tourists can reached to this village through buses and trains on the way of going to Bangalore from Tirupati.

This temple is popularly known as Dakshina Kailasam and has sculpture work. The presiding deity in this temple is of Lord Shiva that was founded by Mogilliappa and placed under Mogili tree.
The village is visited by tourists to explore the rural style of architecture.speaking Telugu language, tourists can also witness the rural side of the place.There is an ashram back side of the temple with the pleasant area.There is a hill called "Devara Konda" In this place is famous for Paravathi temple which is a 5 kms above the mogili village.
There will be a famous festival called sivarathri which is celebrated in two weeks this festival comes in between feburary and march people comes from AndhraPradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka there will be a special buses from Tamil Nadu(Mostly from GUdiyatham) and Karnataka
There are nearly 10 factory's with the name called "sirini foods" which is famous for making Juice with different flavors with nearly 1000's of workers

It is located 30 KM towards west from District head quarters Chittoor. 7 KM from Bangaru Palyam. 548 KM from State capital HyderabadMogili Pin code is 517429 and postal head office is Mogili Venkatagiri .

You can reach from Chittoor to Mogili by road after . How ever Katpadi Jn Rail Way Station is major railway station 43 KM near to Mogili
By Bus
Bangarupalyem APSRTC Bus Station , Palamaneru APSRTC Bus Station , Chittoor APSRTC Bus Station are the nearby by Bus Stations to Mogili .APSRTC runs Number of busses from major cities to here.
